Is it that important to have a bipod for an air soft sniper rifle?
I just bought a new sniper, but it didn’t come with a scope, do you think I really need one?
I don’t think you need a scope or a bipod. Airsoft is a game played in close quarters so it wouldn’t be necessary. Its usually fast paced and the games don’t last long so I think your best bet is to keep your gun as compact and accurate as possible. The bipod simply makes your gun steady so you can pull off a good shot but I find it easier without it. In the woods I think it gets in the way. I assume you would be laying down to use it but once you get spotted your gonna get fried unless you can get behind cover real quick. About the scope, I personally don’t like to use one. I think it gets in my way, makes the gun heavier(sort of) and they don’t really work. An airsoft gun isn’t very accurate(I mean compared to a real sniper rifle) so once you get someone sighted up the odds of hitting that person or target aren’t very big from a far distance. Hope this helps.

Originally developed from the Henry rifle this rifle became famous for its rugged construction and lever-action breech mechanism that allowed the rifleman to fire a number of shots before having to reload: hence the term, “repeating rifle”. The first model, the Model 1866, was nicknamed Yellow Boy because of its brass receiver. The 1866 was only available in .44 caliber rimfire cartridge at first,…

.308 is a well known and respected caliber that can take anything in north America save moose and larger bears. But the way your asking this shows you don’t know the first thing about guns.
I don’t have experience with that particular gun nor the AR-10 which is basically what it is. But I do have experience with .308.

Dablemont Column: A journey down the river we dropped the canoe in the river, right at first light, and pulled through a shallow sandbar, listen to a group of turkeys on a perch just below. They make a racket in the morning, when they are a little nervous about something, putting singing, cackling and just before flying below of the hanger. We lost against them in deep water without a sound. But we knew we were there. You can … Shadowline on Monte Carlo Cheekpiece Exhibition Grade Walnut Prone Rifle Stock

My dad just got a winchester wildcat .22lr. We were wondering a suitable scope for it, nothing too fancy or expensive. also would it be better getting the scope and rings fixed to the rifle or a picatinny rail?
I would go with nothing short of a bushnell or nikon, I bought some cheapo bushnell 3-9×40 to put on an air rifle. I later acquired a Remington 700 sps varmint chambered in .308 Winchester and it has taken the recoil with no problems and we haven’t had to rezero the scope since we put it on the rifle. The bushnell is now on my savage .17 hmr, and compared to the cheapo simmons that came with the rifle, the glass is 100% clearer, the reticle sharper and it holds zero extremely well. On the other hand if you’re okay with spending a hundred bucks more, go with the nikon prostaff, my dad just brought one into the house for his 10/22 and it is GREAT! The general rule of thumb is to spend as much on the scope as the rifle. But for rimfire rifles 2/3 is absolutely sufficient. As for the scope mounting, I would go with direct mounts, it might be hard to find picatinny rails for that model. I’m not incredibly familiar with that rifle so don’t quote me on that LOL. Well enjoy your new rifle man!
