Depending on what your outdoor hobbies are, you may well find yourself accumulating a lot of outdoor equipment. If your outdoor pastimes are varied, you will find that some of this equipment will be specifically for just one area of your outdoor pursuits.
Think about it, if you like to fish, you will have all kinds of rods and nets, bait and lures, you will collect them over time and have quite a collection. But they will not then nessecarily be used for other hobbies you have, such as shooting. You will have another set of equipment that you will pack, just for your when you go out shooting.
There will be some practical tools that you find useful for all of your outdoor hobbies though. For example a knife, or multi tool, these could be taken when you go outdoors, and provide you with a handy tool.
For fishing a multi tool would be useful to have for cutting any wire or line you may be using. If you take a look at the video for the Leatherman Skeletool below, you can see just how easy to use it is, and how many tools it has with it.
I think that you would probably get a lot of use out of a tool like this, a small, but very practical piece of outdoor equipment. That you will soon begin to rely on, it is always reassuring to know it is in your pocket. Being light weight it will not be a burden to carry, and fits easily into your pocket.
Another good idea would be to sort out some of your kit, or tools, that are also useful for all of your hobbies. You could include a first aid pack, for example, then pack them all in a good compact bag and it will be ready for you to pick up when you are going out. This will save you some time having to sort these things from one pack to another, and also save you money from having to buy any duplicate bits and pieces.

What is the difference between Dog Fighting and Deer Hunting?
How about Quail hunting as our friendly vice president Cheney was doing before he “accidentally” shot a friend.
Just want to know the difference, so please don’t get offended and start calling childish names.
we know what they do when dogs are killed. but what are deer used for (with)?
thank you for your knowledge and understanding
Excellent answers guys! I was scared I was going to be bashed by the Animal police. really learned something today, thanks!!!
Well, there is quite a difference. Hunting is the process of tracking down and killing an animal, for the purpose of eating its meat for food, generally. Although in the past it was prevalent to kill just for sport.
Dog fighting, however, involves raising an animal in bad conditions and training it to attack and fight other dogs. The animals are beaten and treated poorly in general over a lifetime. They are killed indiscriminately and their deaths are senseless.
So, when someone goes deer hunting and gets the deer meat, it is really no different than someone going to the supermarket. Going to the supermarket is hunting by proxy, since the animal meat that one buys comes from an animal that someone killed.
So, there’s the difference, really. Hunting for sport is even less nasty than dog fighting, because it isn’t supposed to involve lengthy pain to the animal. The idea is to kill the animal quickly. It’s not as common today to have people just killing animals for fun, rather than for the meat.

Watching Pryor go from imitating a drinking deer to a woman debating about going in the woods gives just a hint of the comedic genius of the man. Crude, foul, and real, this is the first and best of his concert films. Pryor does dead-on impersonations of the respective races, cussing, trying to act tough, getting kicked in personal spots. But it’s his imagination that elevates him to a different l…

what do you know about the “Caddis line up? ive never heard of the company or even seen this pair so im looking for ideas
Yes, I’ve seen CaddisDry waders around — this is a brand that has made its way into big-box sporting goods stores like Garts and Sports Authority, which have mostly skis and bikes and treadmills, and then a smallish selection of fishing gear. I’ve never owned a set, so I can’t speak authoritatively about ‘em, but II’ve never heard any one say to avoid them or that they suck.
My gut tells me they are one or two notches above the Hodgman POS waders you get at Wall*Marks and a half a notch or so below the big-box house brands like Cabelas. I don’t mean this to be derogatory toward the company — I’m actually trying to be complimentary. They look pretty nice.
Looking at the description of the link you included, I’d say these waders have at least a couple things going for them. First, they’ve got the double fabric around the knees. Most breathable waders do nowadays, but at this price point you can’t take anything for granted. They also have gravel guards, which are kinda like gaiters that come down over your boot tops to keep big pieces of gravel from getting into your boots. Not only are these nice to have, but it also signals a little more thought has been put into the unit — you don’t see those on super cheapo waders.
On the other hand, there may be some drawbacks — first is, I guess you’re thinking of buying these online? It’d be best if you could try a pair on. Going through the mail might mean sending a pair back until you get the right size, which, of course, is a hassle. The main drawback here is that it is at a perilously low price point and the overall quality is an unknown. I have to be honest, they look pretty nice, but then again they always look nice in the picture, eh? Maybe someone else here on Y!A has a pair (of these waders, heh heh)?
