I recently bought a Norica Goliath 88 air rifle which comes with a red dot. I am wondering if the internal components of this device actually has a laser. They say that lasers are bad for your vision so I wouldn’t want to be using this red dot if its source is a laser.
Some red dot sights do have a laser in them, but most do not. Those that do use the laser to project a dot or reticle onto a lens you look through to aim. Other red dots have a red tube inside the scope that you see when you aim.

I just bought a Classic Army M15A4 Sportline (metal body) and i wanted to know how do i go about to removing the front sight. I am thinking of getting a Reflex Red Dot sight and putting it on top of the receiver. I know that if I put it there, the front sight would be in the way of the Red Dot. How can i do this, or would i have to get a mount for it so that it would be at a level above the front sight.?
You can get raised RIS rails, or higher mounted mounts for sights/scopes.
A hacksaw and file are your best friends if you wanna remove it, just cut off all you can, and then file it smooth.
You’re better off just leaving it on, in case you ever need it.

If you’re ok with Green Gas, buy an airsoft innovations propane adaptor and run it through that. Green gas is really propane and propane is CHEAP! The first link is an FAQ explaining how Green Gas is really propane, and the second link is to AI’s own storefront for Propane Adapters. These things screw onto the top of Coleman Propane or similar style propane tanks. The only difference is it will smell as an stinky chemical is added to propane to alert people to leaks while green gas isn’t. Another pro of using propane over green gas is that propane is stored in a safe manner. Green gas isn’t. If you search around, there’s pictures and stories of people leaving cans of green gas in their car during summer and the can blowing up inside the car.

I know of no field of firearm with illuminated reticle. The closest thing I can think about is a firearm scope reticle to Burris Electro points. 2×7 is a powerful weapon with a complex grid red dot in the center of the target. Eyepoint is 11 to 21 inches.
