What should I buy for my next sniper rifle? A Barrett 50 or a Remington 700 with a REALLLY big scope and a black nylons sling?
Who makes a 17HMR kit for the Barrett…my allowance is only $25 a week ….. I dont think I could get very good at shooting stuff a mile away buying 20 bullets a month.

If you don’t know what you want in a rifle then you aren’t ready to buy. First of all you cannot compare a 17HMR to a 50BMG. They have drastically different trajectories and ranges. 17HMR is cheaper, yes, but training with one will not help you much with the other. And I do believe it is physically impossible to hit a target from a mile with a 17HMR assuming you’re not using it like a mortar launcher.
Next, “really big scope” could mean anything. Again, you need to know what you want. a 4×32 is fine for 17HMR – but not for 50BMG.
A remington 700 comes in everything from .243 Winchester to 7mm Rem Mag. Figure out what you want before you spend your money.

The “trap” needs warmth and humidity. To see what is going on, put it in the bathroom, and turn on a hot shower. It is probably under a great deal of stress – itr needs high humidity, and low light – - it’s telling you it doesn’t like its surroundings…
A warm shower may be too much for you (expensive), so put in bathroom and fill sink with hot water every 1/2 hour with door shut. DO NOT give it too much light!
