Anyone know anything about german officers Dress Uniform and decorations 1935 to 1945?
I am interested in the origin and reason the item may have been given to german officers and what sort of rank they would have been.
Item is half an inch square in the shape of a swastika gold color and what looks like diamonds embedded ,with pin on rear.It came from a british soldier who was stationed in Berlin 1945 he stated it was found in the HQ German Army.
Without seeing it it’s rather hard to guess.

Oh and by the way, the highest decoration was the knights cross in gold with oak leaves, swords and brilliants. Not the iron cross.
