How to properly lock a bike to prevent it from theft?
I will be attending UC Davis next week and bike theft is very common in the campus. So far, I bought a Kryptonite u lock mini to lock my bike, but I’ve been researching that I should get a cable lock as well because thieves aren’t really prepared for two different kinds of locks. What kind of cable lock should I get, or how should I just properly lock my bike?
Get yourself a Kryptonite U-Lock and cable lock. The cable lock shouldn’t be a wimpy one; it should be at least 1/2″ thick so it’ll pinch the *$$hole thief’s bolt cutters and he has to buy or steal a new set of cutters. Haha, that’ll show ‘em. XD
Loop the cable through the back of your front tire and then loop it through itself. Then put the U-lock around a stationary object and through your frame and your back wheel. Put one end of your U-lock through the loose end of your cable lock and then lock the U-lock.
