I have one of those microwave/convection/grill combo units. How do I know when to use what settings?
This is one of those small inexpensive units form Wal-Mart. The directions tell me how to turn it on but now which types of settings to use with which kinds of foods. Any help explaining how to use the different features would be appreciated.
The microwave part is useful for thawing & re-heating food.
It’ll heat things through, but does not brown the outsides.
The convection unit is great for any cooking in general.
It’s subject to thermostatic control & will brown the outsides.
The grill setting is primarily for searing meat or making toast.
It is not subject to temperature control, just timing settings.
This is a very useful combination for the small apartment.
Ideal for singles, students, couples;-} saves power & time.
