Ideal Time for Goose Hunting?
I went today for some hunting and was hiding in some brush in a ditch and had camo on with a goose call and about 12 decoys scattered about… There was nothing to be seen or heard. I went at 6o’clockpm to 8:30pm (which was the ideal time i thought). I was hunting at a small experimental aircraft air strip… I had the licences, the fedral stamps, permits from the state and local police, and permission from the airport owner/manager…. these geese have become a threat to planes taking off and landing because they sit in the middle of the runway and are high in numbers…
ask people that work at the airport when they see them mostly.
hunt then if its in legal hours. around here you can only waterfowl hunt from sun up till noon.
