The key to a reproductive barrier is to preserve the integrity of a species over time. To present an example of a reproductive barrier, the first stage is to be have shown that two species are isolated. A barrier of reproduction may be a difference in behavior (Call for mating, mating in different times of the year) or some outside influence that makes it impossible for species to cross breed. I do not think the flower is a very good example because the pollen can be carried by other insects .. or otherwise.
