What should I do with a whole bunch of cartridge shells?
I have thousands of spent 7.62 x 39mm shells that I just recently sifted through. I separated the berdan primer Wolfs from the rest.
What should I do with all those Wolf cartridges? Should I even attempt to try the tedious process of removing berdan primers?
Are there people that would buy cartridges even with spent berdan primers?
SargeArmy is right on the money………..7.62X39 cases only have some value if they are in fact brass, and not laquered steel or all steel, or brass “washed” steel. Less than 15% of all surplus 7.62 ammo world wide is brass cased. You are going to be spending time sorting, but if you follow Sarges advice to sell them as scrap the berdan preiners won’t mean a thing. There is also a very limited market for this brass, as very few companies would recycle the casings to reload. It just would not be cost effective to reload them here in the U.S. ,when fully loaded 7.62X39 surplus can be purchased cheaply just about anywhere in the world……
