Better plinking/ target shooting Rifle AK-47 or SKS ?
Just looking for a cheap rifle that shoots cheap ammo other then 22. I like the AK but not really accurate I’d say the sks in no nail driver either but better then the AK, about what is the price differance between the guns, doesnt have to be a show piece just a range gun which one is better ease/ fun to shoot whatt about accessories ….. extra mags, slings , maybe a scope, ext
I’d buy them both! I have a WASR10 AK47, and a Yugo SKS, and I love them both. What do you mean no nail driver anyway? I got my AK set up with some nice assessories that make it just as good if not better than some of the AR jockies I hang around with. Ok first to maximize a WASR10 you’ll want to get a nice trigger, most of the factory triggers suck, so try to find a Tapco, or do like me and get a Red Star Arms Power Custom match grade adjustable trigger. Then you’ll want to get a recoil buffer because an AK kicks a little harder than an AR, then you’ll need a good scope, I’m using an illuminated Mil-Dot 6X Leapers just like the ones the a couple of my AR buddies use. Oh an get a better pistol grip, personally, I like the SAW pistol grip, but I’m using the one that came with my ATI Strikeforce stock set right now. Love it, plus it really pisses the AR guys off when you out shoot them with a lowly WASR10! It’s great fun! My SKS on the other hand, that one I just restored to pristine conditon, and shoot it as is, by the way it’s pretty damn accurate too. I wouldn’t want to be shot at with one.
