SPS Model 700 SPS Stainless or for hunting and target?
Remington Model 700, which should I get? MSF is very good overall, but why not stainless steel?
Stainless barrels wear out faster than a lot harder and durable blue barrel. A good blue barrel from 16,000 to 18,000 rpm – steel Stainless only 12,000 to 14,000. (Yes, it will take some time to complete this course shooting a bolt gun) If you expect to be shot at in the rain or varmint hunting in the rain, snow or cold – go stainless. A stainless Perk – Small Dings and scratches can be easily reomoved ereaser green. If you expect to use the weapon fire on a sunny day in Nice – and us will handle it and keep it in the family a long time – then off. On the other hand – if not a weapon that could tired of the sale and in the coming years – rifles Stainless is easier to sell second-hand, then blue. Hope this helps
