Is a smith and wesson m&p revolver effective for personal defense?
The price is $300 dollars and it is used but seems to be in good working order.The revolver chambers .38 special rounds
That Model 10 is basically the bread and butter gun of the S+W line. Kinda like the little Chevy 216 engine was the basis for all the “big boy” engines including Vette engines. Carried one for a number of years and started to upgrade to other models. Still have a S+W stainless .38 with adjustable sights.
The aforementioned 38/ 125 gr is pretty good for defense. Practice with wad-cutters is almost like not shooting at all since the recoil is almost non-existent. Cheap practice but also learn where it hits with the hotter round.
If it’s in nice shape, you would be doing alright at that price. If you get it, call S+W and they will tell you the year it was made from the serial number. I’ve recently sold these for less but whatever the market will bear, is usually how it goes..
