Is a laser for Glock worth the price?
I am considering a laser for Glock 17 (9mm) and Glock 22 (40SW), preferably one interchangable for both Glocks. There are several types on the market: one that attaches just below the muzzle (Glock brand, Viridian, Streamlight, etc), one that replaces the guide rod (LaserMax), one that atatches to the grip (Crimson Trace Lasergrip), etc.
Which type is the best, most reliable, cost-effective, etc? Does each model fit both Glock 17 and 22, or you need different models of the same manufacturer? Are they worth the price?
I used to work for a company that sold firearms laser sights. My opinion? A total waste of time and money. Why? Because in daylight, the UV rays from natural light make it nearly impossible to see the laser on the target. Indoors, they work just fine…but outdoors in daylight hours, they just don’t work.
Use the money that you would have spent on a laser sight and find a firearms instructor (a good one) to teach you how to properly handle a pistol.
