Color Blind! Please Help!?
I hello! I want to surprise my sweetie by painting a room while they are at work, but not sure what to paint it! The furniture is all a chocolate color leather except a dark navy/midnight blue chair. The paintings on the wall are all bolder colors… Some suggestions? Also…the fire place is a bit out of wack. there is no type of mantle on it, so across the top there is about an inch of space of nothingness from the wall to the side of the fireplace…how can I remedy this problem?
I suggest going with “vaguely mauve” by sherwin williams. it’s a pale, pale pink, and it will coordinate beautifully with the brown & midnight blue while not competing for attention with the paintings:

As for the fireplace, you should have a store that sells fireplace mantles locally. Or you could buy one online:

If those are too expensive, then you could probably fashion one with some molding from The Home Depot.
