Can’t ya just use a Newtonmeter (or a spring scale) to measure perceived recoil?
For Petes’s sake, all this complex math to figure out recoil! Wouldn’t it be a good idea to just mount the rifle on wheels, attach a spring scale in front of the rifle (out of bullet’s way), and just fire the dang thing! You can figure out all the recoil time/velocity/force/ or energy/power by dividing out the scale readings with the mass of the rifle. You can even use different cartridge on the same rifle to see the difference in recoil in a measurable way
Ideally, the wheel mount will allow the rifle to swifel freely in the vertical direction, so you can measure the rifle’s ~perceived elevation~ too. So, maybe a socket attaching the stock’s end and bottom to the wheels, and resting the barrel on a rest, with its height elevating the rifle to be level to ground.

The flaw with re-inventing the wheel is adding unknown variables. The technique you proposed has two immediately identifiable flaws. First, you do not allow or take into consideration the friction (a force) of the wheel riding on the axel of your carriage. Second, you do not allow or take into consideration the friction (again, a force) caused by the wheels rolling on the test surface. Without allowing for these forces (friction) your test results will be scewed.
