35mm film in a medium format camera without the 35mm adapter back?
What would happen if I used 35mm film in a medium format camera without the 35mm adapter back? I’m assuming some light leaks, but how bad?
You might get some light leaks depending on the camera. Just cover up the red window if your camera has one and you should have no light leak problems.
Make sure you get the leader of the 35mm film exactly on the center of the 120 reel or you will get drift and horizons that are not level.
Great question and a great way to burn those expired 35mm rolls that we all have in the fridge. I love how part of the image falls on the numbers and the sprockets. Very cool and edgy.
