Magpul Stocks. Whats the Difference?
What is the difference between the Magpul CTR stock and the Magpul MOE stock other than about 40 dollars?

The main difference is indeed the friction lock system. But that’s a BIG difference. Having used the CTR…I can tell you that the lock is fantastic…and eliminates all wobble.
The MOE can’t lock like that, so there’s really no reason to switch from the standard M4-type collapsible stock. I think the MOE lets shooters have the tactical look, while saving some cash. But the standard AR stock is perfectly capable (Army uses them), and you’d be better off spending MOE money on more bullets, a good sling, or Pmags.
If I were you, I’d skip both, and buy the new ACS, which has a friction lock, battery storage, and better cheek weld like the Crane/LMT unit.
