plasma cutting mild steel 1/2 inch thick. How can you control the movement of the piece?
When cutting down a piece of 1/2 plate steel the metal tends to move from the heat. Any ideas how to prevent this other than clamping the material? This is a cnc controled 100 amp unit. Movement of the piece causes a fluctuation upwards of a 1/4 of an inch.
you should rethink the program, maybe you missed something in the blueprint that would help you, Also maybe the program is wrong. Also have you made sure that the fixture you are using is correct…Also it could be the inserts you are using..Try a colbalt…That is what we use.
