In the UK can you have a gun licence, own a Shotgun and keep it in someone else’s gun cabinet?
Im looking to buy a gun but cannot have it in my house. Could i keep it in my friends house. He has a gun license and a cabinet that has been checked by the police. Any help much appreciated
Yes you may but there are a few prvisions that must be taken into account.
You may keep your gun in a friends safe, you also may acces his safe providing his guns are on your certificate and yours on his, the isueing police force must also be made aware the safe is shared.
What may put a damper on this is if your frriend has a firearms certificat with firearms in the same safe as the gun to be stored.
Then this wount be allowed unless you to have a firearms certificate with the same endorsed rifles up on it as your friend.
