Hand Guards

Hand Guards
How do I remove my AR-15 hand guard?

Place the weapon barrel up, buttstock down on a shooting matt or similar (unloaded of course.) Grasp the ring at the base of the hand guards just above your lower reciever and pull it down. If you have standard hand guards they can be removed by grasping the bottom one and pulling, followed by the top one. They are held on by the spring loaded ring that you are holding down by a little lip that fits inside this ring when its spring is not being depressed.

Just push the little concentric ring down (or pull away from the barrel, towards the reciever) and then pull each section down and away. ( The other end is held by a similar ring on the handguards, but this end (barrel end) is not spring loaded and is immobile. They snap back in the same way. There are no screws or any fasteners of any type that need to be removed and no tools are required.

Note: If your rifle is new, very dirty, or used and not kept well the spring may be rather stiff. This goes away after repeated use. (you should be removing them to clean it properly anyway)

Any anthology that explores the dawn of phonograph recordings promises to be rough going: I can’t discern anything meaningful from the primitive recordings by the legendary conductor Arthur Nikisch. However, everything is more clear and vivid after the implementation of the microphone in 1926, and this material occupies four of these five CDs. Still, some artists sound a bit inhibited, and it’s fr…
