How do you feel about safety harnesses on children?
I feel that they are not child abuse. But what is child abuse? Having more little kids than hands in a place where it’s important for little kids to stay close, and your 1 kid who has a tendency to run off is gone the second you turn your attention to a different kid. All this as a result of you not taking proper measures to ensure the safety of your kid.
What do you think?
I do not consider a safety harness has child abuse. Letting them run around unattended should be considered neglect.
I’ve seen so many children no where near their parents, just walking around, trying to grab stuff off the shelf- and it’s dangerous. Not even factoring in the fact that someone could grab them, they could try to get something heavy that is too high on the shelf and seriously injure themselves.
I know it is difficult with children going to the store, especially if one is already in the cart, and you need the back. So, a safety harness should be considered if you cannot get your child to stay close to you.
